My frustration doesn’t come from it being a bad fight. Now that Aldo-Edgar is off, it could and should be FOTN if it doesn’t end it quick. It was supposed to be Shogun or T. Silva filling in for Page, but it fell through apparently. I like Maldonado. He’s exciting, has some good hands, and had a winnable fight coming up against Diabete in Canada. Now he has to fight a guy as dangerous as Teixiera (who has had a full camp) on 4 weeks notice, risk going 1-3 and potentially get cut with another loss. Plus, if Glover had fought say Shogun or Thiago and won, that would have lined him up for another big fight and put him in contention. LHW needs new blood at the top. Rematches and hendo will only get you so far at the rate Jones is fighting.
