Shields’ ratings trending upwards. Not sure what your average Friday shobox card does, but this is a good sign for Shields and for women’s boxing.

That’s still a pretty low number even for Showtime.

Edit: Actually doing some research most main events do in the 250 to 350K range on Friday nights so this isn’t awful.

From what I can tell, it did about double what the average Friday night Showtime card normally does.

Edwards is a really good 155 lber and obviously you need to collect as many good WMMA you can find.

Julian Erosa got “signed” so to speak, basically Dana White said if there’s an injury at 145 lbs, Erosa is getting called but he can’t bring him in now because the roster is crunched for the show.
Josh Parisian is being brought into the Ultimate Fighter (!) but will not be signed to the UFC yet.

For those that don’t know, DAZN is the same streaming service that signed a deal with Eddie Hearn (Anthony Joshua’s promoter) earlier this year for a $1 billion.

How much bloody money does DAZN have?

According to sportbusiness.com, they pulled $375 million in 2016. I assume they’re running on a debt like every other streaming service

Yeah one of the things I learned when reading about streaming services for a project is ho wmany of them operate on a “We’ll make money back eventually” logic. It’s why Sony is trying to get out of that market now.

From what I can tell from reading about Netflix, as long as you can convince the bank/investors to lend you more money and you make your loan payments, you should be fine. Don’t know how that pays off long term but it’s a thing.

Most social media is running on a deficit. The whole idea is to sell your company before it goes bankrupt tbh. Convince someone it’s worth the influence it has with people using the app. It’s why I’m amazed a the shit David Karp pulled on Yahoo by selling this trash fire of an app for more than 10,000 bucks and a can of PepsiCo

Yup, everything is either buyout bait or loan bait nowadays.
